My personal interpretation of the rules is that your "official" time for
changing bands can float between the last QSO on the old band, and the
first QSO on the new band (the "second opinion" in K3NA's e-mail). I
have never been "zinged" by the score keepers for this interpretation.

However, the CHK_TEN program available through the CT-BBS uses only the
"first opinion" - the band change occurs when the first QSO is made on the
new band.

Another personal interpretation is that
for the purposes of the 10 minute rule, the mult station and the run
station are totally independent.

Perhaps CHK_TEN has been upgraded. The current version seems very operator-
friendly in the interpretation of band-change times. It seems to assume that
the band change occurs when the LAST QSO is made on the PREVIOUS band, UNLESS
it's less than 10 minutes since the band change before that -- in which case,
it pushes out the band-change time until the 10-minute rule is satisfied.

Below is an excerpt from our mult station's log. WW.ASC is generated from
WW.BIN and shows call, band, and time for 18 consecutive QSOs. WW.TMR is an
abbreviated excerpt from CHK_TEN's result file. The SECS column shows the
number of seconds between band changes. I dug into this because I was
curious about the two consecutive minimum-time band changes reported by
CHK_TEN.

I don't think CT's on-line QSY timer is this smart. I've been able to
confuse it so that it says there's 30+ minutes 'til the next legal QSY!
