I am looking for an improved method of switching between two antennas and two
radios for a single op/multi radio setup. I would like to be able to access
either antenna from either radio, and if possible, be able to use both
antennas on a single radio.
I can currently do this using two 2-position coax switches connected to "T"
connectors on the radio outputs. There is a 2:1 mismatch when using both
antennas on a single radio (i.e. two 50 ohm antennas in parallel).
It would be nice to have a bit more elegant solution to this which provides
for matching the 2 antennas in parallel.
What do you guys use for this situation? I know a lot of you are doing this,
and I'm sure a lot more of us would like to know... I'll summarize if there's
interest in this subject.
Thanks,
Will

I will be going to W5*** for the CW Sweepstakes. Some of you knew that,
but I thought I would "come out" (today is coming out day for some other
people).
I have never been to the station in Louisana, but according to K5GA,
there are some big amplifiers there. Bill has also told me that they
CAN run legal power, and this is how he used them while he was there.
I wanted to go public with my promise to operate in a similar manner.
I hope my reputation will help everyone believe that. I also think
that will help the station owner allow me to do the same. On the
phone he told me that the station is legal, so there are no expectations
to run anything but 1500 watts.
Once, I was operating at W7NI (who has admitted having a big amplifier),
and his wife noticed that the lights in the house didn't blink when I
was operating. She didn't mention who was operating when the lights
were blinking however. I came in just behind Randy, K5ZD that year.
Afterwards, I took my own amps (2 X 3-500Z) because the fans in the
W7NI amp were just too loud for me to take.
This is kinda exciting. I hope to be able to fight it out with the big
boys in the south for this one. It is tough to win this contest from
the left coast (been trying for about 20 years). I hope Jeff can make
it from WM5G and that we put on a good horse race! K5GA is super
motivated to win, so watch out for him. KM9P says he won't be in the
race this time around. WN4KKN thinks he will be on an airplane. Who
else will be around to take up the challenge??? We know K5GN, K6LL
and N2IC will be there! N5RZ is going to be doing EME, so that is why
K5GA will be on from there.

OK, so I threw more than the top 20 in there. I have been working on a
project to compile CQWW CW records in a manner that has not been done--
by zone. The CQWW has a natural method for keeping records but no one
seems to want to use it.
I will be prepared to release a print version of the world records
shortly. The above is a sample of what I can do. This is a very
different approach, and effort, from Bob Cox K3EST's publication which
is terrific reading. I have always been disappointed with the record
keeping of the past. My hundreds of hours of work on the CQWW CW
satisfies me, so I know there are countless others out there who are
interested.
Want to know the top 20 scores on 80 meters from Zone 17 over the last
20 contests? I can tell you!
More to come.
If you have any specific record requests let me know and I will see
about posting some of them to the list.

Pete, I lost your Internet address so hope I can reach you this way...
Major misunderstanding with WV5Z - He needs a copy of the Service Manual
for the Icom 735, not the schematics. I believe you said you also had
the manual? Since this could be fairly bulky, I should send you an SASE,
perhaps a manilla envelope? Let me know if you get this!
