Question. Does anybody know if you can enter a mult-operator
multi-transmitter entry in the WRTC competition? I am planning one.
And can each member of the team receive a deck of cards or a letter
opener if the M/M team earns one? You out there NCDXF?

While not endorsing favoritism in the upcoming WRTC, I can't see HOW the
judges can fairly dole out penalties for perceived "packet favoritism".
Does this mean that all those that have team favorites can spot other
"front runners" they recognize, hoping the resulting packet pileup will
incur a penalty ?
An example:
WB9TIY, being a diehard Society of Midwest Contesters sort, hears the
hated K1DG/K1AR team. He quickly dumps a spot on the KS9K cluster in
Wisconsin, along with the note "Go Doug'ie, GO..." This spot is carried
all the way through to the equally hated East Coast and shows up on
packet screens owned by diehard YCCC (or what have you) members. The
resulting YCCC pileup on the K1DG/K1AR team disqualifies them and sends
them home in shame.
Alas...a quick thinking East Coaster (hey - it could happen...) finds
the mighty WX3N/K5ZD team running 400/hr right down the band. A deftly
executed spot winds its way back toward the Midwest....
Phew - good thing there's so many judges that are SMC members !!

I agree. We should spot every WRTC station each time we hear them to keep
the activity level as high as possible for the participants.
But we should not include ANY comments that identifies the operators. Not
even sly implications as to same. Is there anyone out there with an argument
against this approach?
If not, do we have a gentlemen's (and gentlewomen's) agreement that we will
observe this on all the major PacketCluster networks?
