Anybody have experience with the Dunestar Transceiver bandpass
filters-specifically Model 600? Looking for something that will help out
in Multi-single contest ops. How about ICE? What are your opinions about
these filters or any others. Tnx Tom

Where in the heck was WYO and MB? Missed the Sweep this year! RATS! Come
to thing about it...where was 40 meters this year? I think if there had
been people in the middle of the Atlantic I would have worked them, but I
was skipping over the whole east coast. 80 proved to be great this year....

Strange contest this year!

It would increase the action, but ruin the "tone" of the contest.

We don't need no steeeenking m/m on SS! :-)

Boy, I've gotten that question several times. I thought it was easy
to figure it out so I left it out of the original message.

Put a rope and pulley at the top of the tower.
Put beam on ground, pointing directly towards tower.
Attach rope (from pulley) to director end of boom.
Attach tag line at reflector end of beam.
Pull it up so reflector is a few (5-8) feet off the ground.
Pull tag line to keep it away from tower.
Also, you may want to attach another tag line at one reflector tip to
keep it from rotating close to the tower.

This will point the antenna at approximately a 70-80 degree elevation.
Close enough to vertical.

Here's something else to try if you want it perfectly vertical and away
from the tower: Attach the tag line at the same point as the other rope.
When pulling out, gravity will keep the beam perfectly straight up and
parallel and away from the tower.

Good Luck!

Hey great score from Todd. Good to see.

Also good to see a score on top not from the central south.
