"contest supposed to promote activity" ????
I thought the contest was a competition.
The 1 point idea is good, but is only needed in USA, because this could mean
less DX QSOs for you. Sometimes will be more productive for me staying in 80m
working locals than DX in the other bands.
But this could be solved with 1 for own country, 2 for same continent and 5 for
DX.

Aren't contest supposed to promote activity? I can just see a new
comer trying like heck to someone in the test and the contest station
either ignores him or tells him because of the rules it is not in my
best interest to work you but thanks for trying????????? What kind of
sense is this? I think the 0 point QSO's should be 1 point.
