Guys,
I think some of you are missing the point in this
discussion! Nobody has said to BAN the use of 6 meters in
contests. 6 meters already enjoys being used in various ARRL and
CQ VHF contests. In fact, there are 6 contests that I am aware
of in the USA/VE that 6 meters is heavily utilized.(3 x ARRL
VHF,CQ VHF,SMIRK 6M,6m Sprint) There are probably many more in
Europe,JA,etc. There is another one on the way. The question was
***** should 6 meters be added to the ARRL HF(stress on the HF
part) contests?*****
All the new hams on 6 meters have been heavily exposed to
contesting with the above 6 and the "non contest" ARRL Field
day. My opinion still is; keep HF and VHF contests apart from
each other! Keep 6 meters out of the HF contests!!!!!!!!
Don't to forget to write or e-mail your CAC rep with your
thoughts. 73 Ken N4UK
