I have a G1000 turning my KT34XA. I have had no problems with it at all.
I did break the mast clamp while installing it (a common failure), called
Yaesu and got a new one for free (without asking!). Never did install it
though. The broken clamp seems to do just fine.....
survived 100+ mph winds, ice, Steve K7LXC ( ;-) )
I heartily recommend it for the average installation.

PS Also have a Ham IV that is 25 years old and never had a problem with it
