The CQ WW 160 Contests are coming fast!
CW is 2200Z 23 Jan to 1600Z 25 Jan 1998
SSB is 2200Z 27 Feb to 1600Z 01 Mar 1998 (MOVED to avoid conflict with ARRL
CW DX Contest). Please make a note of the change if you have not!!!!!!and
passthe word.
Logs may be sent several ways:
e-mail to cq160@contesting.com
Mail to: Dave Thompson K4JRB 4166 Mill Stone Court Norcross, GA
30092 USA.
Mail logs can be hand written, printed by computer, or by diskette (3.5"
please!!). With the mailed diskette please print out the summary sheet and
the dup list.
E-mail logs should include the summary (.sum), the log (.all or .log or any
ascii text listing), and the dup list (.dup).
On all logs make sure you tell me how many states/provinces and DXCC
countries you worked on the summary sheet. Don't make us figure this out
from the total mult!!! Clearly mark a return address so a certificate can
be mailed to you. Make sure to double check the log for errors and that the
log is readable. The logs should be postmarked by February 28th for the CW
section and March 31 for SSB. If you want to send both logs together you
can send both by the SSB deadline. Logs received after May 1 may not count!
Remember that Washington, DC is now a mult (PVRC says they hope to have
stations on...) and that WAE countries count as they do in the CQ WW.
Keep out of the DX window between 1830 and 1835 including the edges to allow
transcontinental DX contacts. Examples (EU/NA, AF/NA, EU/SA etc.). No one
should sit in the window for extended periods of time especially NA DX or
EU!!!!
Good luck...
