1. Enough land to handle the largest tower/antenna I would reasonably want to 
have
2. Reasonable zoning restrictions
3. Tall trees in good places for support of wire antennas
4. No big hills in important directions
5. Adjacent to unoccupied/unbuildable land
6. No major noise problems when listening on a rig with a dipole connected. 
Previous owner did not object to this test.
7. Acceptable location for whole family
8. Willingness to settle on an acceptable solution, not necessarily the perfect 
solution
9. Enough space inside the house for the contest station
10. There is no number 10.

I learned that good/friendly neighbors are not worth looking for in this 
process. Unfortunately, no matter what you do, you cannot depend on them to 
behave the way you want.
