Tomorrow from 1200z to 0400z is the Collegiate QSO Party
(http://www.qth.com/collegiate/)
The University of Idaho, W7UQ, plans to be on with some newly licensed
student hams, along with a few experienced ops. Some of which have never
been on HF, or have yet to make their first QSO on any band.
Many schools around the country will be on, and this is your chance! Your
chance to get these young college kids away from video games, and on the
air...for good! Maybe you only have a few minutes to spare on saturday? No
problem, just tune around and work the college stations just WAITING to hear
you call them! Don't forget CW and RTTY. What would happen if these new,
MOTIVATED, hams got on 20 meters tomorrow, and nobody wanted to call them?
Those CQWW records just MIGHT stand forever..........
If you're not in the US... even better! Talking to another continent is
definitely something that will get new hams excited. We'll swing the beam
around if we hear you calling.
See everyone tomorrow!
