The EU Sprint Gang is proud to announce the Winners of the
2003 Eu Sprint Plaques
This is the third year that this award is issued and it goes
to the three operators with the highest combined scores, having
entered at least three of the four European Sprint contests in 2003.
2003 Winners are:
#1 - Gediminas Lucinskas, LY9A/LY3BA - 815 Points
#2 - Tonno Vahk, ES5TV - 798 Points
#3 - Karel Karmasin, OK2FD - 749 Points
There are also certificates for the winners of each Sprint and the
leading score from each country. Prizes will be sent out by the
end of February 2004.
Ged, LY3BA, won the first prize operating as LY9A. His worst score
was #7 with 177 points. In the other 3 events he was #2, and #3
and #6. Tonno, ES5TV, did a great job in the two SSB Sprints where
he ended #1 and #3 but he lost a lot of points in CW ending #18
and #24. With at least one better CW effort he could easily win the
Plaque. Karel, OK2FD always ended between # 5 and #13, maybe
he lost some points in the two Spring events.
Rules, full results, past scores and all time records can be seen
