I'm surprised I don't hear this kind of comment more often.  The chair I
bought for my shack a few years ago is *by far* the best non-electronic
investment I've ever made in the station; it's probably responsible for
more QSOs than a lot of the electronic gear I've bought!  

Comfortable headphones are another issue I think are frequently
forgotten in the contest station.
