I think many of you missed the point I was trying to make. When I suggested
transmitting above 7100, I meant just above 7100. Like 2 or 4 or 6 Khz!
Just enough to get out of the QRM, but still where people tuning the band
could find you.
9A1A took advantage of their new privledges to operate on 7100.2 most of the
weekend. If I was working from the Carribean, I would be just above them on
7102 where it was relatively clear and quiet.
There is a no mans land between 7100 and 7150 that is perfect for the
Carribbean and South America guys to hang out in. Especially for a contest
like ARRL DX.
