Sounds like lots of sour grapes by folks that may never be in a position to
win, using any means possible to punish or exact some type of revenge on
those that excel. I guess to be fair everyone will to work 100 stations and
all have the same mults and that way everyone can win. Doesn't that sound
like fun?

Live audio is about giving people that do not have stations like K5ZD an
opportunity to hear what happens in his shack. It is about creating more
interest in a hobby that could sure use it. Creating interest in the
younger amateurs who flock to sites like Utube, Itunes etc. It is about
letting a guy who does not have access to a station the opportunity to join
in remotely and keep their interest. It is about a new contester listening
to one of the best and learning. There is something magical about watching
and listening to a top op do his/her thing. I could go on and on.

Contesting is about fun as the vast majority have no shot at winning.
Although many can receive some pretty nice awards even without winning it
all!

Anyone who really thinks this would help the bottom line in a contest is
delusional. Those that have been on the receiving end of a packet pile up
will tell you that it can destroy your rate just as easily as helping during
slow periods.

How much interest in the Masters Golf Tournament would there be if they
refused to have a scoreboard and only announced the winner after 9 months?

I know folks dislike change but this is getting a bit much. How about
finding ways to embrace new technology and make contesting even better
instead of nit picking the rules to death and interpreting them in a way in
an attempt to eliminate your competition.

Very funny! Or not!?!

I just marvel at the remnants of the logic left in some hams.
Having web site is NOT the same as SOLICITING QSO by saying: "Hey I will be
on, have streaming audio (video), give me a call, you can hear yourself!"
That to me is using Internet, during the contest for soliciting QSOs (by
non-amateur means).
You jokers can poke fun and paint your portraits all you want.

Again, why did CQ WW CC asked here if the live scoreboard might conflict
with the "solicitation" rule, while this obvious solicitation by streaming
is "OK"?
I will not be checking any "streamers", I will be too busy working contest
without crutches. But little pistols and "point givers" will sure check and
work streamers, while the rest of us will be CQing with no takers, they are
all watching "stars".

I rest my case, CQ WW CC should clarify this situation and make it know, so
we ALL can stream ourselves.
