The logs for the 2007 Alabama QSO Party are due Jul 3rd.
Please submit your log. I will take it via an attachment to an email or
via USPS to my QRZ mailing address.
There are a number of reasons to submit your log. First, it demonstrates
your participation and support of the event. It give us some demographics
which can be used to supply software vendors with motiviation to continue
to support the AQP with their logging programs. Additionally it lets
awards sponsors and supporters know that their support of this event was
worthwhile.
Thus far I have received 140 logs. This surpasses last years submssion of
88 logs. This is by far the most successful Alabama QSO Party that has
been conducted in 10 years, maybe longer!
Generally the comments received from participants that have submitted logs
have been very encouraging and positive. There were a lot of first time
players (contesters). We definitely need all the new blood in this facet
of the hobby that we can get.
I am in the process of scoring logs now and have scored about 60+ logs so
far. I hope to complete the rest by the end of July. Additionally, I
hope to have the results ready for release by the Huntsville Hamfest. But
no guarantee! I will do my best.
I want to thank everyone that helped spread the word. We could not have
achieved this level of participation without you. If you were not
involved in 2007 maybe you can find time in 2008 to get involved and have
some fun with this event.
