DIGIFEST RULES 2007

1. Date and time:

  I Period 04:00 UTC - 12:00 Saturday 3 Nov 2007
 II Period 20:00 UTC - 04:00 Saturday 3 Nov 2007
III Period 12:00 UTC - 20:00 Sunday 4 Nov 2007

(1-th full weekend of November)

2. Modes:

   RTTY75 (75 baud)
   BPSK63
   MFSK16
   HELLSCHREIBER
   OLIVIA (250 Hz, 4 tones)
   CONTESTIA (250 Hz, 4 tones)
   ANY OTHER NARROW DIGITAL MODE with occupied bandwidth less then 500 Hz

3. Competition:

- On Line Competition (Live)
- Off Line Competition
(Every entrant of Live Competition will be included then in The off Line
Competition range)

4. Categories:

All Modes: SOAB All Modes - LP (Absolute Champion)
All Modes Short: SOAB All Modes any 8 Hours (Breaks 1 Hour or bigger) - LP
Single Op Single Mode All Bands - LP (any mode 6+ entrants)
Single Op Single Band All Modes - LP (any band 6+ entrants)
MO: MO All Band Single Transmitter All Modes - LP

*LP - Max peak power 100 watts.

5. Bands:

160 meters band (1.8 MHz)
80 meters band (3.5 MHz)
40 meters band (7 MHz)
20 meters band (14 MHz)
15 meters band (21 MHz)
10 meters band (28 MHz)

Please leave PSK31 band (14070...14071) for non-contest operation.
Transmission over NCDXF beacons at 14100, 21150, and 28200 may be a reason
for disqualification.

6. Exchange:

Signal report + Grid Square 6 Characters
(Example: 599 KO50CR)

7. QSO points:

1 point per 1 Km of distance.

8. Multiplier:

Big Grid Square (4 Characters) once per log

9. Scoring:

The sum of QSO points x multiply on sum of multipliers = TOTAL SCORE

10. Logs:

1) Online Competition Category: partial logs should be submitted via special
web service at
http://mixw.net/misc/DigiFest at least once per hour and in an hour after
each contest period

2) Off Line Category - CABRILLO-compatible format logs should be emailed to:
digifest_robot@mixw.net or via
http://mixw.net/misc/DigiFest/digifest_log.php
Not later than in 10 days after the contest end.

Modes in the log should be marked by two character code as follows:
RY = RTTY (75 baud in the contest)
OL = OLIVIA
PK = PSK   (or PS)
MF = MFSK16
HE = HELLSCHREIBER
CO = CONTESTIA
RM = RTTYM
JA = JT6A
JB = JT6B
JC = JT6C
JM = JT6M
DO = DOMINO
AX = PACKET AX25
AM = AMTOR
PT = PACTOR
TH = THROB

11. Awards, prizes and trophies:

- Antenna Analyzer AA-200 will be sent to the high score world winner -
Absolute Champion - sponsored by Rig Expert Ukraine.

- USB Interface RigExpert Standard will be awarded to the winner in All
Modes Short Category.

- T-Shirts will be awarded to the winners in Mode and Band categories.

- 5 Subscription for Ukrainian magazine RadioHobby will be drawn among
participants from CIS.
