The claimed scores from the 2007 Collegiate Championship, CW are
now online: http://www.collegiatechampionship.org/results/2007/
There were at least eight college/university clubs on the air for the CW
weekend of the ARRL November Sweepstakes.

This weekend is the phone contest. In 2006, 21 colleges and universities
entered the phone Sweepstakes. Some signed "S" precedence to enter the ARRL's
school radio club category, some competed in other categories (for example,
Stanford University W6YX entered in the "M" category and won their Division).
Check out the 2006 results and look for many of these station on the air
this year: http://www.collegiatechampionship.org/results/2006/

If your alma mater or local college or university has an amateur radio
club and they're not trying their hand at the phone Sweepstakes, encourage
them to give it a try. Most contest logging programs support the Sweepstakes,
including the free N1MM logger. The antenna requirement for the Sweepstakes
at this point in the solar cycle are pretty modest - a 20 meter dipole for
the day and a 40 meter dipole for night will net lots of potential QSOs.

Just a couple of comments from last year:

"What a wonderful opportunity to introduce new operators to the
fascinating world of HF! Thanks for all your points, patience
and encouragement. See you next year." - K5LH (@ Baylor Univ. WA5BU)

"This was our first Sweepstakes participation in a few years as
a club. Several newly licensed members enjoyed their first time
      operating in a contest. I'm sure a few are hooked." - N4CV (@
      Virginia Tech K4KDJ)
