Rick,

The coax is 1/2 wave length, forming a half-wave balun which steps up 
the 50 ohm feedline impedance to the 200 ohm feedpoint impedance of the 
40M329.  Strictly speaking, the coax impedance is irrelevent, but 50 
ohms is what I believe the original Telrex documentation called for and 
should certainly work fine.
