I have some #77 ferrite cores that I want to use with cables that have large
connectors on each end. Does the ferrite do its job if I make a "U" in the
middle of the cable and loop the "U" through the cores a few times, as
opposed to passing the end through the core, which I can't do because of the
connectors. 

Of course, I can use snap-ons, but I haven't found those in a #77 mix.
