I have some of my old log books, but I've lost the early teenager ones.  I 
worry sometimes that I may have to produce them to prove that I actually had 
the required number of hours on the air as required for renewal.

I also don't remember exactly when I first received my license, but to 
refresh my memory, I simply open up my first (paper) logbook and look at the 
first entry!
