The 2012 Florida QSO Party is "in the can" as they say in Hollywood. And
from my seat here in Minnesota, it was quite the show!
This message is a reminder that you can download the free Florida QSO
Party tools I created. Here's the link: *http://tinyurl.com/6sc8z7n*
Here's a brief description of each workbook.
*QP - FL Log Analyzer Rev 2.0.5.xls
*This workbook will import any two logs (in Cabrillo format). You can
compare last years performance with this year, or compare your log
against another persons log. Many worksheets provide side-by-side
tables, graphs, and charts. It supports both In-State and Out-State logs.
*QP - FL Mobile Analyzer Rev 2.0.3.xls
*This workbook is specifically for Florida _mobile_ station logs. You
can import any two logs (in Cabrillo format) for a side-by-side
comparison. It shows statistics specific to mobile logs, such as the
sequence of counties activated, when you logged the first QSO and who it
was, how many minutes and how many QSOs you made in each county. In
addition, it will tell you the elapsed time between the last QSO of one
county and the first QSO in the next county. It also calculates a pseudo
QSO rate for each county (how many Q's would you log in that county if
you spent one hour there). This new version also shows return visits to
the same county. This could be a useful tool to help you review your
planned county activations vs. the reality of that plan!
*QP - FL County Stats Rev 1.0.0.xls
*This is a new workbook this year and also features the "one-click"
Cabrillo import. The focus is on a single log and supports both In-State
and Out-State logs. It shows the 67 counties, who was your first
contact, at what date/time, and mode. It also tabulates the 1x1 stations
you worked on CW and Phone, showing the date, time, mode, and frequency
from your log. There are other tables that slice and dice the log to
show more details as well.
These workbooks were created using Excel 2003 and incorporate VBA
coding. This Excel version (or any version newer) should work without
any issue. It has been reported the "one-click" Cabrillo import feature
does not work in older Excel versions. If you find any problems or need
help with these tools, send me an email. I also appreciate suggestions
for adding features if there is something you feel would make this tool
better.
