It was good to hear all the opinions and thoughts on the situation I 
experienced. Most echoed my feelings. Believe me I didn't sulk and did move 
on quick enough. I did not practice what I taught all the ops here and that 
was to have a junkdog attitude and fight to keep the frequency. As one of 
the ops (W1UJ)  here stated, rate rules. Poor rate means move. Unfortunately 
40M at the time was wall to wall CQs up to 7100.
I brought this all up as an attempt to point out poor operating practice and 
a lack of courtesy but then again it is contesting! We all love a fight at 
times.
Looking forward (NOT!) to the SSB half of ARRL DX contest.
