Hello contesters..... Having worked about 1500 stations over about 10-12
day period lately, I found that my taste for having pile ups was satisfied
and I did not at all participate in WPX this year. Formerly, one of my
favorite contests when I lived in USA, now living in Thailand, the thrill
of many rapid contacts I can have on many days of my own choosing has
diluted my interest in American-based contests.

Equally or more so is the fact that the scoring is so skewed against me
that I can not compete realistically for a high score. Asia is a very
large place, for example, and is a low point area I can work a lot.

I am not poor mouthing about this situation because, given good Flux, I can
enjoy 150/hour runs many days. And, I can search for rare DXpeditions with
no need of a contest. Also, I would not live any other place on Earth as I
can.

My point is, if USA stations want more DX to be on a contest, then address
the various inequalities of scoring.
