In baseball, around World Series time, the talk starts up every year about
fall statistics.October slugging percentage, playoff ERA, etc etc.
It also happens every year that when Sweepstakes comes around, the talk
bubbles up on sections (who should be one or whether one should really count
if no one is operating from there etc etc).
Guys it is what it is. If you don't like it, don't do the contest. The
ratio of chatter to actual contest QSOs and participants is pretty distorted
when it comes to SS. It's the only HF contest with stagnant to declining
participation. Don't make it worse on yourselves with this nonsense.
