Yamaha CM500
Light weight, doesn't touch the ear and works very well with ICOM 781
radios using VOX. They plug into the $8 Syba SD-CM-UAUD USB Stereo
Audio Adapter to provide the correct DC for the mic which also provides
an excellent soundcard for the WinTest Digital Voice Keyer option.
A million, or more gamers can't be wrong!
In the 1960's I started with Uncle Leo's headset which looked like two
toilet plungers and raised the temp of your ears to 200 degrees. The
CM500 is better. At least 12 lbs. lighter anyway but you don't look
like a WW2 boomer pilot which may be a negative, not sure what the
high school ladies think is cool looking today.
