Interestingly the talk coming out of Team New Zealand is that they think
technology has gone a bit far and so it seems likely the rules for the next
regatta will be more in line with previous events. Apparently we will know
more in the next two weeks or so but don't be surprised if there is a
return to single hulls for example. It seems almost certain it will be
held in Auckland in 2021.
By the way for all the talk of innovation in contesting through technology,
it does seem odd scoring systems are mired in the 1950s.
