I don't use assistance much (maybe 20% of the time) but if I want to listen to
my stations I'll be calling all at (let's say) 600Hz sidetone, I don't want to
have to hear 550Hz one time and 650Hz another time (for example_)
I'd like them all to be on the exact same freq. I can set my RIT at some
specific amount if I find they are all coming in a little low or high.
It would be NICE if N1MMLogger plus and other loggers were to control your XIT
by some small offset, rather than to make it so every spot sounded different.
Given the variety of rigs and CAT commands, I think this feature may be a ways
out however.
Just my opinion and my reason for not wanting it "locked and not be able to be
disabled"

I thought this was a pretty old feature. But it's a good one. And it
should be locked and not able to be disabled. There is absolutely no
good reason to disable this. Use your vfo knob if you want to zero
beat.
