looks like a bug to me... but there is a workaround.
if you have no radio control hooked up ct apparently is defaulting
to 14000.00 for a freq when you start up. get past this by hitting
alt-f1 to force it to change band and then it works. you can also
do this by entering 28000 like you were trying to command a radio.
