Some of you may recall my problems using CT ver 9.90.007 with WRITELOG to
generate a Cbrillo file that ARRL robot would accept for my 2007 SSCW file.

Here is a copy of my message to Sean , the new contest manager at ARRL.Any
of the gurus here have any idea why the robot will refuse to accept a
Cabrillo file from pfizenmayer@qwest.net and will accept the IDENTICAL file
from BobK8IA@aol.com.

PASTE OF MESSAGE FOLLOWS

I spent 7 hours Friday trying to get the ARRL robot to accept a
Cabrillo log. Whether it be a SS PH or a ARRL 10 log, I tried ver 2.0 , ver
3.0 , I used the header examples for ver2.0 and ver 3.0 , I also used
headers from
my last years SS and ARRL 10 submissions which were accepted (but sent from
my worldnet.att.net dial up connection.) I even went to the
http://b4h.net/cabforms/ , did a dummy 4 line qso file to get his Cabrillo
file to look at and used that exact file with my full qso data and it too
was rejected.

The files were all editd in NOTEPAD , not a fullbore word processor.

I use CT ver 9.90.007 which has been producing Cabrillo files for several
years - its NOT a matter of contacting CT. I had K8IA send me his headers
from his last two submissions and copied them with my data substituted and
the robot rejected every damn submission I sent in.

I had the SAME problem trying to get my SSCW log accepted.

FINALLY , K8IA and myself decided to do what we did to get the CW log
accepted. We took my Cabrillo log files which had been rejected by the ARRL
robot , and he sent them from his email account (BobK8IA@aol.com) and BOTH
were accepted on the first try. These were the IDENTICAL files I sent from
my email account (pfizenmayer@qwest.net) that were rejected. The robot read
the info accurately just as I had written the file , sent the confirming
message back and assigned a number.

I can only deduce that there is some very very strange reason that the ARRL
robot is seeing something in the qwest.net source files that is causing
the rejection.

 Any ideas ?

Hello-

Based on this message, you are not sending a Cabrillo log. I searched
the incoming email to the robot and found no email; everything you have
sent to the robot has bounced.

Please contact the author of the logging software you use and ask for
assistance in exporting your log to Cabrillo format.

For more information on Cabrillo standards, you can visit:
