Bill,

This feature blasts packets out so that a spectrum analyzer can help you
align the antenna optimally.  It was initially put in for our flashrom unit.
The flashrom has LEDs that show signal strength.  You would run the Ant.
Alignment feature and look at the LEDs for best Ant. postion.  For RGs and
APs without the LEDs to show signal strength I can see why you wouldn't find
much use for it.
