Hal, W1NN recently wrote about problems he was having using his
LaserJet 5L to print QSL labels. Sometimes the labels come out with
the printing aligned correctly, but often not.
This is most likely a problem with the printer not grabbing the label
sheet correctly. When printing to a laser printer, NAQSL is designed
to use the default laser fonts which print at 6 lines per inch. The
labels come aligned on the sheet such that the first line prints about
1/16" down like Hal reports (actually, probably 1/12", but that's
close). NAQSL's output is formatted to use five lines, so the last
line is an equivalent amount up from the bottom. With one of the
formats on non-laser printers, NAQSL uses a subscript font to make the
"QSO WITH..." line slightly further away from the top edge for better
appearance.
If the sheet is positioned properly in the printer, all the labels
will be printed correctly. I'm sorry that this is not really a
satisfying answer...
