Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2022 Jul 03 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low with B-class flare activity from Regions 3040 (S13W84, Hsx/alpha), 3046 (N17E45, Dso/beta-gamma), and 3047 (S19W02, Cro/beta). New spot growth was observed in Regions 3046 and 3043 (S15W36, Bxo/beta). The rest of the spotted regions were either stable or in decay. No Earth-directed CMEs were detected.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be very low with a chance for C-flares over 03-05 Jul.

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was normal to moderate and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at background levels.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be normal to moderate over 03-05 Jul and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to persist at background levels.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters continued under CME influence. Total field ranged from 3-13 nT while the Bz component was mostly north between +10/-1 nT. Solar wind speed ranged from 293-328 km/s. Phi angle was mostly negative until 03/0851 UTC. An increase in density was observed after 02/2000 UTC followed by a gradual increase in total field to 10 nT after 03/0700 UTC.

Forecast: Slightly enhanced conditions are expected on 03 and 05 Jul, with mostly nominal conditions expected on 04 Jul.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet to unsettled.

Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be quiet to unsettled on 03 and 05 Jul, with mostly quiet conditions expected to prevail on 04 Jul.
