They do indeed have their own active amps with rather husky power supplies to
deliver the high peak currents required.  The growth of the multiple
speaker/component systems and the tangle of associated wires/cables is yet
another problem to rear its ugly head.  My son has one and it is well-built
(at least as for its specified function) but 99.9% of the engineering for any
of these systems pays 0% attention to EMI; part 15 is (in practice) a joke.
The very best solution for low-level interconnects is the optical/fiber-optic
cables - no EMI, no ground loops, no common-mode issues, etc.           Tom -
