The European Parliament has published a new document dealing with EMI. It
appears to be somewhat friendly to Amateur Radio. For example, see the
original and change proposal below:

Original:

(2) Member States are responsible for
ensuring that radio-communications,
electrical supply and telecommunications
networks, as well as equipment connected
thereto, are protected against
electromagnetic disturbance.

Change (Note addition between asterisks [bold italic in the PDF]):

(2) Member States are responsible for
ensuring that radio-communications,
**including radiobroadcast reception and
the amateur radio service operating in
accordance with ITU radio regulations,**
electrical supply and telecommunications
networks, as well as equipment connected
thereto, are protected against
electromagnetic disturbance.
