About a week ago on a Friday a couple of us hams got together and tracked down
a noisy power pole in the area.

The pole turned out to be on South Fork ranch in Parker Texas north of Dallas.

This source turned out to be 4.23  miles SE of me and 2.5 miles W of the other
station.

I was receiving interference on 160 meters and the other station was receiving
interference on 80 meters.

A couple of "band scans" from 4.2 miles away:

Scan of 175 - 400 kHz South Fork RFI source from 4.2 miles away

The pole was fixed on the following Monday.
