I have never had RFI issues with CFL’s or LED light bulbs, except as noted
below, in fact I use two in the shack for lighting the desk. I have had
failures though. They both get pretty hot at the base to the point the plastic
gets brown and eventually the glass loosens up. I just had a LED failure a
couple weeks ago, it started to flicker and the base was loose, that bulb was
only about a year old.

The CFL’s don’t work very well in our cold winters, I tried them out in the
garage and they didn’t come on in the cold. On the other hand I have LED shop
lights and they work in the cold, just don’t daisy chain them because then they
really put out RF noise. By that I mean plug one shop light into another. I
plug each one into separate outlets.

I bought a pair of compact fluorescent bulbs at a big box retailer (*)

These I bought for a garage door opener (**), and in the directions
for the opener it says

"STEP 6 Install the Light Bulbs .... NOTE: Do not use halogen, short
neck, or specialty light bulbs as these may overheat the end panel or
light socket. Do not use LED bulbs as they may reduce the range or
performance of your remote controls."

Light bulbs!

Discontinued; I wonder why.
