Yes, per panel electronics could be of either type, DC to DC (optimizer) or
DC to AC (micro inverter). When it comes to RFI generation there is more
potential for it from the DC to DC type. This is because there are no
explicit FCC limits placed upon the connection between the optimizers and
the central inverter and those runs can be long. However, a micro inverter
must connect to the AC mains so at least with that type there are some FCC
limits with which to adhere on the AC side.
