Hi Joe, let's keep the group in the recipient list so everyone can benefit.
Just "reply to all". :)
We can make this super easy. Get a crappy AM portable radio. The cheaper
the better. Something that looks like this:
https://www.target.com/p/panasonic-rf-p50-pocket-am-fm-radio-silver/-/A-1003316272?TCID=OGS&AFID=google&CPNG=Electronics%20-%20Target%20Plus&adgroup=8-4
Tune to an unused frequency in the AM band where you can hear the noise.
Then, start walking around your property, neighborhood, etc. See where it
gets louder or softer. You may want to try different antenna positioning to
see if that makes it easier to locate the noise. Try to narrow down the
area to either your property, or not your property.
The idea is to locate the source of the noise by finding where the noise is
the loudest. It can be helpful if you're looking to get a bearing on the
direction of the noise to use your body to block the signal. Mess around,
you'll get the hang of it.
If you have trouble with this, your next step could be to reach out to the
closest Amateur Radio club, and ask for help tracking down the noise. They
will likely have someone with the interest and experience to help. That's
been the biggest help for me!
