I am representing the family of a fellow ham. Last fall he called me and
said he has purchassed a new IC-7800 and asked me to come to his shack and
set it up for him, which I did. I was surprised that he bought this radio
as he was in the early stages of Alzhimers disease. I set up the radio for
CW and nothing else. Soon after that his disease advanced rather rapidly
and he was unable to operate the 7800. I know that he never had it on the
air more than a few hours before his condition made it impossible for him to
use the radio. His wife called me yesterday and asked me to sell it for
him. It has all of the parts that ICOM sends with a new rig and manual. It
is really a new radio as it was hardly used.
Original price he paid for it was $10,000.00
The XYL will take $6500.00 for it, shipped prepaid.
If interested, please reply to my e-mail address or call me at 573-642-2082.
Note: I am retired and home most of the time. If I am not home, don't ask
my XYL anything as she knows nothing about radios. hi
