This is very sad news. Paolo and I spent many nights on 80M trying for a
QSO last winter, as he needed SD to complete his 80M WAS. He finally
succeeded when he operated from a friend's QTH who had an 80M Vertical. He
had visited this area last summer, and we tried to hook up fro an eyeball,
but since he was traveling with other folks, we didn't get to do that.
I admired his tenacity, as well as his very good nature. I also admired
and enjoyed his contest hints, and attention to detail that he gave to the
CQ WW RTTY.
I know that he will be missed by many, including myself.
