Dennis:

Depending on how old the computer is, most have on-board sound chips that
obviates the need for a separate sound card. Also depending on the age of
your computer, if you require a separate sound card, most are now in the
newer PCI express format. Some you can still get in regular PCI. Also, many
are adding external sound 'cards' that simply plug into a USB port.

My favorite source for these goodies are Newegg and Tiger Direct.

Subject: [RTTY] Sound card for RTTY/MMTTY

Having recently upgraded from Win XP to Win 7, the Santa Cruz sound card
that I've used for several years is no longer usable (no Win7 drivers,
and the XP drivers won't work). So, I'm in the market for a new sound card.

Any recommendations for sound cards that work with Windows 7?
