Please note the change of date for the BARTG Autumn SPRINT75.
The Saturday date was conflicting with the SP DX RTTY test so I have decided to
move it to the Sunday 5 hours after the finish of the SP test. It is hard to
find a suitable date at that time of the year so I have decided to lock our
tests to the date formats below.
our January and March tests have been on these weekends for over 10 years now
and well established and very well supported. Whereas our SPRINT75 tests are
still relatively in there infancy and are still jostling for a slot. The
September slot seems fine and is a great way to give your kit a good short
blast
before the main event the following weekend. The April test is a real problem
and I hope by following behind the end of the SP DX we will not loose too many
entrants. Our two 75 baud tests are starting to draw a lot of entrants who are
up for it. The first time you try it, you soon find that you add your call a
couple of extra times in your CQ message as its gives other contestants more
chance to catch it as exchanges are so fast. If you can cope with a BARTG
SPRINT75 then the CQ WW RTTY is a doddle the following weekend but a real test
of stamina.
January SPRINT (4th Full weekend in January)
March HF (3rd Full weekend in March)
April SPRINT75 (Sunday of SP DX RTTY)
September SPRINT75 (Sunday before CQ WW RTTY)
