hello all, tried yesterday with SD 10.25 WAE-Contest (for next) weekend. Running on a AMD K6-450 MHz (64MB RAM) with Windows 98 . It is too slow ! What can be done ? SD 10.15-DOS works "real-time" - SD 10.25-Win needs few seconds too reach the next field (logging and QTC mode)... may be - I can live with the slow logging mode - 2 seconds from Call-field to RCVD-number-field... but it is NOT usable during QTC-traffic!!! DX-station send fast the QTC's ans perhaps I could sometimes (?!) need a little bit time for corrections (??)- correction-mode is too slow to use it! so can receive QTC's only in slow-speed-mode... may be 10....15 wpm max. it is a very bad idea.... what can be done ?? Is the keyboard input (now) event-driven?? last year (in multi-op-station) I missed that SD doses not send a "R" after each QTC-record, endend with ENTER But... SD never "eated" QTC's ... we know form CT (K1EA) that CT is "eating" QTC's ! 73 Fred dl5ym _______________________________________________ SD-User mailing list SD-User@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/sd-user |
