This is probably an "Options" issue in Windows Explorer.
Here's what's needed to have all file extensions visible.
Select Tools, Folder Options, View tab, and ensure that "Hide file
extensions for known file types" is not checked. Finally, select
"Apply to All Folders", and click the OK button.
