You are correct, in that Paul always says that SD cannot be used for 
this contest because the field for the exchange is not long enough.

What you can do is what I have done in the past for the Yeovil Fun Run 
contest, which likewise has too much data to fit in. Basically you keep 
a bit of paper handy and for those things which are too long you type a 
shortened version in to SD, note down the correct longer version on the 
paper, and then edit the cabrillo afterwards to that. Club Calls is a 
contest I have never entered myself, but I suspect many of the 
exchanges will fit anyway, and just a few clubs deliberately choosing 
long winded things for their club names...
