The REF contest takes place from 0600 UTC Saturday 29th
to 1759 UTC Sunday 30th January. It is CW-only on the
5 contest bands from 80-10m, with HP, LP (100w) and QRP
(5w) sections,

Select the "REF, DX" template (outside France) - or
"REF, France" template (French side)
French stations send their département number or
country prefix (Overseas Territories). All others
send a serial and work "French" stations only -
with multipliers for départements and certain
country prefixes - as listed in SD's multiplier
window.
French stations include Mainland France, Corsica,
and French Overseas Territories.
No need to worry about which countries, apart from
France, you can work. SD displays ineligible calls
in red.
Use SDCHECK to create your Cabrillo .LOG file, and
send it to cdfcw@ref-union.org.
