Start on 20 meters... CQing. If you are SO2R tune for stations/mults
on 15/10 meters, otherwise check those bands when the rate slows down
on 20. Don't go to 40 until dark since all the east coast and midwest
stations will be working each other on that band in the beginning. We
had a saying in Ohio that "there is no meters like 40 meters" for SS
and other domestic contests. If the skip is good on 40 meters to the
east coast/midwest I would not even bother to go to 80 meters until you
run out of guys to work on 40. Many "antenna challenged" staions don't
even have an antenna for 80 meters and you can probably find them on 40
(or 20 if it's open) GL and GO SECC !!!
