Jeff:

Good stuff.
But,
I would recommend that a driver be a freebee.
I see no need to make a class that involves the driver, let every one
have a driver as a safety concession.
I don't think I see driver classing in other Parties.
It also keeps things simpler for the scorer (U).

I think the single and multi rover operators is a good break out.
And since the power levels are broken out separate from the station
classes, my KW rover will be classed properly next year.

I thought single day format might get more mobiles out, but it appears
not so, particularly with the more competitive ones from out of state.

Again this year, fates conspired to put me away from home.
Family needs, moves, and job changes took me to NY exactly at the wrong
time.
A son is moving back to Marietta from Rochester NY, so we went to drag a
load precious of stuff back in a Uhaul.
I only had 20M SSB capability. I sure wish I had thought to bring a
Keyer on the trip.
My log for about 8 contacts from the driveway in NY will be to you later
today.

It is great to see you already have so many (50?) logs in hand.
It appears we are going to keep GQP going, and growing.
Thanks for the work,

Mike, NE4S, 73

It appears we need to work out some kinks in the GQP rules. The
following should be considered for next year :

 1) Packet Spotting - Although we allow this for everyone it is probably
not a
good idea to allow self-spotting. This is generally looked down on
by the
contesting community. I think this worked out pretty good and helped

promote activity in our contest from outside GA.

 2) There was some confusion by one Georgia entry about working rovers.
I need
to clarify that when a rover changes counties he is a new station
for
everyone to work - both inside and outside of GA.

 3) Have 3 rover categories - 1) Single-Op - Operator does all operating
and
driving. 2) Single-Op Assisted - Single Opr but has a driver that
doesn't
operate- either a ham or non-ham. 3) Multi-Op Rover - two or more
    operators.

 4) Keep the date and time of the QSO party the same as it is now.
Several of
the guys who support us from outside of GA have indicated they will
no
longer support the GQP by driving to GA and operating if the contest
is
changed to a one day format. We should reconsider our vote from the
last
   club meeting.

Please forward me any other suggestions/comments.... Also please send
in
your log no matter how small it might be......

                      Jeff KU8E
