Well, believe it or not, but the trouble with the Titan turned out to
be the small rear capacitor on the tuning cap. The "believe it or not"
part comes from the fact that 1 rotor of the cap ( out of about 5 )
was actually rubbing against the first stator. This small cap is
joined to the main Tuning cap at the rear.
Now tell me, how does an enclosed capacitor with about 1/8" spacing,
and all the nuts tight ever move by itself?
But, all's well that ends well, and that amp is putting out a cool KW
on all bands.
