It's very simple. Sound blaster output goes to your radio mic input.
Try to use one of the connectors on the rear of your radio instead of
the mic connector. Going through a 600 to 600 ohm audio transformer will
prevent hum pickup that can occur when the mic return is hooked to the
PC ground.
I use a com port to route PTT from the PC to the radio. Use a connector
on back of the radio again. For best isolation you can use an
optoisolated interface, but often this is not necessary. You do need a
simple one transistor stage to change the +/- 12V output of the PC, so
that it will ground the PTT line of your radio. You probably already
have one of these for CW operation.
If you already have a PSK31 interface, you may be able to use this for
N1MM, depending on your radio and how you have it wired.
What radio do you have?
You can get fancier, and route audio from the radio mic over to the PC
for recording, but this is not necessary for operation if you record
your messages ahead of time, or use a separate mic on the PC for recording.
